Jie Weiss co-organized the 44th, 45th, and 46th Annual Edwards Bayesian Research Conference in 2005, 2006, and 2007. This international conference is concerned with judgment and decision making, whether theoretical or applied, normative or descriptive. The papers presented in the conference are not limited to Bayesian ideas. A range of domains is represented, including psychology, sociology, economics, and health science.

Nutrition Workshops

Two multidisciplinary workshops centered on the relationships between nutrition, obesity, and chronic medical conditions were held in 2008. The first workshop focused on nutrition education for the public audience mainly from communities and student body. The second provided researchers from various disciplines an opportunity to explore research interests, with the goal of stimulating collaborative projects on nutrition and obesity prevention research projects.
